Bike Cafe 1

Pedaling across streets, squeezing into cars, Theo decided to go on a bike trip today. “An iced coffee would be nice,” he thought, a respite for a sweltering Saturday afternoon. With a few taps on his phone, he knows where to go.

Bike cafes started popping up around during the pandemic, especially when public transportation became worse than it already was. So bicycles became a viable option for commuters.

Coming in all shapes and sizes, functions, and everything unique, like the ones at @bambike. Theo got his bike to bike to work but eventually got the hang of it.

It gave him urban mobility, unlike before.
“In 300 meters, turn left.” His phone prompts him that the café is around the corner.

From afar, he can spot the place its signage in bold letters is eye-catching. Arriving there, he noticed that the place is probably a converted space.

“Probably a sari-sari store before,” as he examines the remnants of its former shell. Now it looks like a quintessential café.

Wood accents adding a cozy as warm as the coffee being served there. A Standee is a quick view of their offerings and a concrete façade – reminiscent of Japanese cafes he saw online.

“Plus points for the bike rack,” he quipped.
